Lafayette, CO (October 29, 2018) — Eonti Inc. (Eonti), a front runner in lifecycle operations management for trust infrastructure, together with DigiCert, Inc. (DigiCert), the world’s leading provider of scalable PKI solutions for identity and encryption, have been selected by the Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF) to provide registration authority and certification authority services for the OCF Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

“Maintaining the highest level of security and ensuring the validity and identity of OCF-certified devices is critical for OCF and the growing IoT community,” said John Park, Executive Director of OCF. “OCF selected Eonti and DigiCert for their strong technical background to ensure rapid, massive deployment of trustable OCF certificates.”

The OCF is dedicated to the security and interconnectivity of the Internet of Things (IoT), bridging devices and platforms worldwide. Eonti and DigiCert’s collaboration with the OCF is pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and ensuring the security and safety of the connected devices used daily by people around the world.

“Eonti is thrilled to be chosen by OCF and is highly motivated to contribute its expertise toward this critical foundation for securing OCF-certified devices,” said Oscar Marcia, Eonti President and CEO. “There is significant exposure currently in the global consumer marketplace and the Eonti/DigiCert team will leverage our combined extensive experience to securely implement and operate the OCF PKI.”

“DigiCert is excited about being chosen to provide PKI-related services for the OCF, continuing a trend of IoT consortiums and companies deploying IoT solutions preferring us for their connected device security needs,” said Deepika Chauhan, EVP of Emerging Markets at DigiCert.

DigiCert is already in use by several ecosystems including the WiMAX Forum, CI Plus, GSMA, WInnForum/CBRS, and AeroMACS, and their scalability has stood the test of time, having issued billions of certificates globally. DigiCert looks forward to continuing their relationship with OCF members, about half of which already use DigiCert SSL/TLS certificates to provide trusted connections for their web domains.
