FCC Proposal for Commercial AeroMACS Operations

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) today adopted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that puts forward service rules for the Aeronautical Mobile Airport Communication System (AeroMACS).
As a contributor to the AeroMACS PKI for secure airport communications, Eonti is excited to see the approval of this NPRM as it proposes specific technical and licensing rules that are required before commercial AeroMACS operations can become routine at U.S. airports. Many of the proposals included in the NPRM are based on industry-consensus proposals the WiMAX Forum filed with the FCC in 2017.

Joint ISO 15118 White Papter

The ISO 15118 is an international standard for Vehicle to Grid (V2G) communication for charging electric vehicles. Eonti’s white paper explores the pros and cons of this standard and addresses key aspects, gaps in coverage, and considerations for a successful implementation at scale.

The WiMAX Forum hosted the first AeroMACS Advisory Council (AAC) meeting this month. The WiMAX Forum has partnered with Eonti to manage and implement AeroMACS PKI as the Management Authority (MA). The MA is in the process of onboarding Certificate Authorities (CAs), to make AeroMACS operational networks secure with the implementation of AeroMACS PKI. ICSJWG Spring Meeting
April 23-25, 2019—Kansas City, KS
Eonti attended the Industrial Control Systems Joint Working Group (ICSJWG) 2019 Spring Meeting on the security of Critical Infrastructures in industrial settings. Eonti CEO Oscar Marcia, with partners from DigiCert, Schneider Electric, and OSISoft held a panel discussion on the necessity of Secure Interoperable Communications in Industrial Control Systems.
